You Hypocrite!~

Just wanted to get your attention...hee hee. If you're involved in Week 7, let me know what's jumping off the pages at you.

Day 2's anti-legalism is great, I think. I love the observation right off that no one claims to be legalistic, but everyone has a list of people, churches, etc. Of course, we're never on our own list! Isn't that too true? I like that right off she doesn't allow you to wander to "those" people who are so legalistic.

Time to start looking at our own hearts, huh?! I know mine's not all pretty. I LOVE to know, however, that God shows Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are completely His (2 Chr 16:9). Quite a motivation for a clean, pure, tender, and undivided heart, huh?!

What you got to say??????????????????/

I loved the introduction to week 7. Pages 144-145 are covered with green highlighter in my book. The author's comments about simply "staying with it" have special significance to me.

Not too long ago I was in a place where I felt very confused and abandoned by God. I was paralyzed with unbelief, but, for reasons I cannot explain, I stayed. I kept going to church, reading my Bible and praying to a God that I wasn't really sure was out there. Day after day, I just kept plugging away. There is no doubt that it would have been easier to walk the other direction. Leaving seemed very reasonable.

Oh how glad I am that I "stayed". I stayed with it and I continue to take each day and work on my relationship with God. How awesome to be reminded of the fact that God is working on my behalf as well. He continues to move me in ways that I could not even have imagined.

I've read those pages every morning this week and I'm sure I will tomorrow as well. I think they are a little gift from God to me. We're at a point that we both acknowledge how hard it was to stay and how very right it was.

AMEN! How beautiful your testimony is, Holli. I'm sure you may not know until heaven how your testimony is affecting others in tremendous ways. Keep sharing it!

I believe God delights in sharing "little gifts" with us.
